Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Carspel (“we,” “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our marketing website (for example pages served from carspel.ca) and clarifies common technologies inside Carspel apps. For broader privacy practices, see our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. “Similar technologies” include local storage, session storage, pixels, or SDK identifiers used for analogous purposes.
2. Marketing website
2.1 Essential / functional
- Hosting & security. Our hosting/CDN providers may set strictly necessary cookies or identifiers to route traffic, mitigate abuse, or maintain HTTPS sessions.
- Preferences. Where implemented, local storage may remember UI preferences such as language
selection on static pages (for example keys like
carspel_lang). These choices remain on your device unless you clear site data.
2.2 Analytics & advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) on pages served from carspel.ca (measurement ID G-2F4D6DNZFE). GA4 is provided by Google and helps us understand how visitors use the marketing site — for example page views, language preference, and interactions such as navigation clicks and section scrolling. Google may process IP address, device and browser information, and page URLs under its own terms. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
We do not deploy third-party advertising trackers or remarketing pixels on these pages. Where local law requires consent before analytics cookies load (for example in parts of the EU/EEA, UK, or Canada), we will present a consent banner; until then, you may block analytics via the browser controls described in section 4 below.
2.3 Fonts
Pages may load typography from Google Fonts. Google may receive technical data such as IP address when fonts are requested. Review Google’s statements for details.
3. Carspel applications
Mobile apps typically rely on OS-level secure storage and authenticated sessions managed through backend providers (for example Supabase) rather than browser cookies. Diagnostics SDKs (such as Sentry) may assign installation-specific identifiers governed by their documentation.
4. Managing preferences
- Use browser controls to block or delete cookies and site storage.
- Use OS privacy dashboards for advertising identifiers where applicable.
- Inside Carspel apps, adjust notification preferences or revoke consent flows where presented.
5. Updates
When technologies change materially, we revise this Cookie Policy with a new effective date.
